Just realised...

That IF we come out of IBESR with Peter THIS week.
And IF the process to bring Wadley and Peter home takes the longer expected time...
(31 weeks)
THEN they would be home one week before Christmas...

Of course the time could go faster.. and they could be home sooner... but first they have to get OUT of IBESR.

It is a little frustrating that our dossier is still in IBESR as the new adoption laws dont put family size as a restriction on adopting thus releasing us from needing a Presidential pardon and we already have presidential permission to adopt two children from Haiti.  At teh same time I understand that every t has to be crossed and every i dotted and every thing has to be in good order. The folks in Haiti work hard in difficult conditions to get the job done.

SO I'm praying tonight to hear THIS week that we have recieved the letter of permissin we need and can procedd to bringing our babies home BEFORE Christmas! wadley will be one in July and Peter will be one in December.

  1. Hi Wendy,
I was wondering where the 31 week estimate was from and do you mean that's the estimated time still left after you get out of court? Did the new laws really pass both the deputies and senate? I had only heard one had passed them. Where do you follow Haitian news?
Hope your trip is progressing smoothly still-- what a crew!

  2. Hi Linds..sorry I am so slow gettin gback to you but I've had a hard time getting signed in.

The time line I got from this post.. I put the longest and the shortest estimated times in there.. 31 weeks is the longest estimated time.. knowing God is good and in control and could have the boys home tomorrow or in three years, what ever is best for them and His purpose.

I follow GLA blogs and in the past Dixie has been clear on not accepting people who need dispensations. She just opened up adoptions to larger families.. we continue to pray that this law will go through with ammendments to protect the children and families and allow happy home comings.

I follwo several haitian news sources.. I google and try to read from all extremems.
